Misty is my favorite Jazz piece, and Tsuyoshi Yamamoto is my favorite Jazz pianist. I bought this SACD just for track #1 - Misty. All other tracks in this disc are bonus for me, and I enjoyed them. In terms of sonic performance, as with all FIM SACDs, the recording is superb. Very good soundstage and imaging, piano sounds as real as it can get.

Description Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio Misty on Gold CD from Impex Records State-of-the-Art 24K HDCD-Encoded Gold CD Mastered by Kevin Gray Few, if any, international audiophile jazz recordings have maintained the kind of deep and profound influence over techniques and even entire label repertoire as Three Blind Mice’s.

This is a hybrid SACD so it will play on any CD player but sounds best on a player that can read the high resolution SACD layer. It is still factory sealed. We specialize in new and used CDs and vinyl records including rare and out of print titles.

Long tracks and plenty of room to groove – a really great little session from Japanese pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, and one with some added conga to boot! Don't confuse this one with Yamamoto's other 70s date with Misty in the name, because this album's a live one – and it comes across with a good deal of energy, even when things are a bit mellow – a sense of freedom on the Brand: Three Blind Mice/Craftman (Japan) (Label).
